You don’t have to be a member to use our services, but membership has it’s advantages.

For 2008, members received a 5% equity rebate on their purchases. You pay only a one time membership fee of $10.00 cash.

The Co-op is owned by local residents, so it is very much part of our community. That means that all of our earnings stay right here. Our profits don’t leave the community to benefit outside shareholders or directors.

100% of our profits are returned to this community through reinvestment in the Co-op, equity allocations to our members/owners and through contributions to community organizations and local youth. Last year alone, the total returned to the community was $1.4 million. For 2008, Mid Island Co-op will be giving over $1.65 million to it’s members.
