Building Community matters to co-operators, whether it’s our own community or a community in a developing country somewhere else on the globe. Here are just some of the things we do to carry out our mandate to be socially responsible and help build the kind of communities that we want for ourselves and our children.

The Funds Allocation Committee (FAC) is comprised of member of the Board of Directors. The FAC meets once every two months to review applications.

And much, much more
Mid Island Co-op supports community groups in many, many ways. Check out our News pages to see what we’re doing. As our success grows, so will our Community Builders fund. If your organization is a non-partisan, non-profit and is helping to build our community, we’ll do our best to help. See “contact” link for Karelyn Goodall’s email address (this step avoids spam crawlers from adding us to their spam lists).
The Board, Management and Member Relations Committee of Mid Island Co-op welcome ideas and suggestions from members about how we can strengthen our social mandate.
